Nuptial vs Nuptials - which word to use?

As an invitation card printer, I have always encountered brides and grooms getting confused with the proper use of the words "nuptial" and "nuptials". At certain times, I just stop debating with the couple and I just go ahead with the printing of the word as they would want it to appear on their invites. I couldn't emphasize anymore how these words should be used.

To help me make my point, I browsed online for various invitation printers who may be having trouble explaining the difference of these two words. And boy was I so happy to know that one of the wedding planners we truly admire, Clarice Avinante of An Event to Remember had the same sentiments and she has the perfect explanation to the use of these words - click here to read her blog.
